Hey all, I'm thinking of joining WWers (again). Can anyone tell me what they think of the momentum plan? Likes/dislikes? Thanks! ;D

I think it's a great healthy balance. Focusing on healthy habits, filling foods, etc but still allowing the flexibility to indulge and have special occasions.

To tell you the truth, since the new plan came out, I haven't paid any attention to it to be perfectly honest. As you probably know (but for those who don't), the difference in the new plan basically is that they combined the two plans (core and flex) to encourage you to choose more "filling foods" and counting them. It's a good way to gear people away from eating 100 cal packs with no nutritional value etc. and it is trying now to encourage you to listen to your hunger signals and your body more rather than just the points. They also changed the way you use your AP's and Flex putting the APs at the end after you've used up all of your flex.
I'm a WW girl, but lately I haven't been feeling the points counting. I'm trying at the moment to listen to my body and try to trust myself with serving sizes. So far so good! The moment it backfires, I'm back to counting!

I finally sat down and read the first 5 weeks of material and I'm pretty sure I read that you can use your APs before OR after your FPs....which really doesn't matter. As long as it's in the week you earn them. A point is a point in my opinion...

I LOVE the new plan. They are encouraging people to eat non-processed whole foods instead of just low calorie crap. (See Lynn's post on same). If you are doing WW Online, you get a little green diamond by every "filling food" that you eat. I'm trying to get a least 9 diamonds a day.
Linda, if you are on WW Online, when you go over your daily points, the program will pull from your WPA first, and then from your APs. The idea is that you don't have to use your APs the same day you earn them. (Which I like, because it's often the days that I exercise that I'm also really on track with my eating).

Hey ChezJulie - I don't use the online program but this is the verbage on Week 2 Book on Activity Points. It's on page 12 for reference:
"they can be added to your daily points targer or to your weekly allowance"
So you can use your APs before OR after your FPs....which really doesn't matter. As long as it's in the week you earn them.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm going to join today; I think I need the extra structure it provides.

I like the new program. I'm trying to get those little green diamonds too:) I've lost 25 lbs since I started and got a green star, wish they gave out something more for the online folks too:(

I'm curious how the points are worked out for the US version compared to the UK one....we don't get flex points. We only have a daily allowance (at 203lbs I'm at 23 points) and once those are done they're done. We can 'save' up to 4 each day to be used the same week, and we can earn activity points...but there's definitely no flex points involved...
Plus our new plan is called the discover plan, but I guess it's the same as it focuses on the filling foods too.
