After having a flawless week last week and showing a gain at WW on Wednesday I'm having trouble staying focused and motivated. I know it's just a number and all the effort I put in will show up eventually but it's not helping! Normally if I'm struggling I come on and read all my blogs and woosh-motivation! Not now. Any tips on getting my head back in the game?

Linda, forget the number. It isn't important in the long run.
Focus on doing what you have to do today.
Today is manageable.
Today is not overwhelming.
Don't let one small blip throw you off of what you know you need to do today.
It only takes one day to lose weight - today. It really is that simple.

I know what you mean. Sometimes we lose sight of our motivation, but it IS there. Focus on the NOW - today, this hour, this minute - and you will find the routine will kick back in and you CAN and WILL do it.

I know that awful feeling of having a flawless and week and one slip up, you feel like giving it all up...
"If you can't fly then run, if you can't run the walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward."
Hope this line will motivate you. Just keep moving forward... You can do it! You have worked hard for a week. Keep going girl... as every one is saying, 'one moment at a time'!

Another thing that I have found is that today's weigh in is not necessarily indicative of yesterday's activity.
I've pigged out and shown a loss two days later.
I've exercised like a mad woman and shown a gain.
The true test is what happens over time. Not measured in days, but in weeks.
If you continue to do what you need to, in another week (or maybe two), that loss WILL register. It has to. If you use more calories than you eat, you have to lose weight!
Hang in there.
