I avoid drinking my calories if at all possible. I like to "chew" my food!

You get a LOT more from real food than just calories. Think vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals...all of which work together in very unique ways to make whole foods work for your body. Besides, who wants to drink shakes for lunch for the rest of their life?

Actually, I think shakes can be a great meal substitute. Most bodybuilders drink shakes several times a day as a healthy protein source, and often they add ingredients like fresh fruit or peanut butter to make them yummier. My trainer got me off of SlimFast because it has a lot of sugar. I use Muscle Milk Light, which is nice and chocolate-y, but has lots of protein and just a little sugar to keep me satisfied and build muscles. I order it from Amazon.com. It is a powder that I just mix with water and a shaker cup, especially before a workout and sometimes for breakfast For more than you ever wanted to know about shakes, go the www.t-nation.com.

I prefer the premixed meal ement shakes, they're a lot faster than when I have to do them during the day It has worked so well that I have lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks, I'm just so happy after I have tried meal replacement shakes. I can recommend to try this
meal replacement shakes
GL Mike ;D
